When our flagship journal significantly increased its rejection rate, many valuable papers were turned away due to the redefined scope. Recognizing the gap, I spent years advocating for the creation of a new journal. After convincing association leadership of the need, and they tasked me with writing the RFP and laying the groundwork for the new journal, which is now successfully indexed and flourishing.
